![]() I did want to make a cool little cart for my horse with a roof and fire for dodging the rain but the act of doing so was painfully awkward to the point I gave up. Essentially I still really liked all the stuff it inherited from BotW but didn't really care much for the additions past the 5 hour mark or so. I was impressed by the implementation in the intro area but the Hudson fanboy put me off engaging with it pretty quickly and it's rarely needed. So I guess I'd like a new timeline and new world again, keep the core of BotW but drop all the building mechanics etc. I sort of lost interest in the sky islands quite quickly and I really didn't enjoy the underground at all. I guess in the end the world didn't end up feeling different enough. I really enjoyed the final boss fights too, but otherwise in ended up leaving the game holding a worse opinion of it than BotW. There is also the occasional dud, where you reel in a crusty old pot.I dont necessarily want it to be more linear but I also don't want more of the same again either. Defeating the enemies with your sword will sometimes yield the same power-ups, but you won't always have time to retrieve them - or they could fall into lava or off a cliff. Simply target an enemy and hit the corresponding button and Link will swing the rope like a lasso. Combat: You can also use the Grappling Hook in combat.Pushing up and down on the stick (without holding R) will increase Link's momentum and help him get the maximum boost when jumping off the rope. Once the hook connects, you will automatically swing forward. If you press and hold R, Link will stop swinging and you can climb up or down the rope or change direction. A target and audio signal will let you know if you're aiming at something that you can latch on to. Swinging: Hit the button you assigned the hook to and the game will switch to a first-person view that lets you take aim freely in a first-person view.It does, however, break pots when thrown at them - but it cannot retrieve the items they yield. You can only aim high with it (as Link needs room to swing the rope) and only latch on to special grappling bars attached to the ceiling or walls. Instead, this rope with a hook at its end is quite a bit like a portable version of Donkey Kong's vines - or perhaps Mr. The Grappling Hook cannot latch onto boxes or targets and pull you across the room. If you thought that this new addition to the Zelda franchise is a replacement for the Hookshot, then think again.
